Why good B2B products still fail
What makes us shine
What will change for your product team
New users get productive faster
We design the journey from sign-up to the first tangible result so that it’s intuitive and easy to understand without the need for videos or product demos. This is the key factor that directly drives activation and retention in SaaS.
A self-supporting Interface
Recurring support requests are the most concrete UX roadmap you have. We look at what users are actually struggling with and develop solutions that spare your users the need to ask for help.
Prioritizing based on facts
After we're done, you'll know which workflows your power users really need and which features are taking up undeserved attention. The question “Should we build this or not?” can be answered with real data.
How We Work:
Quick Research, Fast Delivery
We're aware of the concern that a discovery phase might hold up the roadmap. That's why our process is designed to quickly produce initial assets that your team can work with.
Understanding what power users do
We talk to your daily users and see where they find workarounds, improvise, or give up.
Prioritizing with your product team
We'll compare our well-founded findings with your roadmap and work with you to decide which issues to address first.
Design, Prototyping, Testing
You'll receive prototypes that incorporate user feedback (and that the developers can actually build using your tech stack).

Our UX Bag of Tricks
What we draw from
Looking for something specific? In addition to providing comprehensive UX support, we also offer targeted, individual methods to help you on your path to success.
UX Strategy
We determine what problem the product solves and for whom before anyone designs an interface.
User research and interviews
We talk to your users about your product.
User Journey Mapping
We highlight which user groups face which challenges and when.
Wireframing & Prototyping
Instead of spending a long time speculating, we build testable prototypes in just a few days.
Usability testing
We test assumptions with users before moving on to development.
Design system setup
So that your team can continue to build consistently even after we're no longer involved in the project.
UX/Accessibility audit
An assessment of the current situation, including specific actions prioritized by impact and effort.
Design Sprint Workshops
When a decision needs to be made and your team is supposed to make it together.
Are we a good fit for your product?
What we work on most of the time:
Operational Tools in Daily Use
Decision-Making and Management Systems
Integration and System Platforms
Transactional Sales and Quotation Products
Self-Service and Enablement Platforms
PS:
We're not the right fit for purely marketing-oriented websites, individual screens without context, or projects where the decision has long since been made and all that's left is for someone to design the user interface.
brightside Studio & B2B sector
Why B2B product teams choose us
Senior designers only. No exceptions.
You'll be assigned the experts you'll be working with from the very beginning (and your developers will have someone to answer their questions).
We design what you can build
Understanding your tech stack and its limitations is part of our approach. A design that your team can't implement isn't a design to us.
We say if it just doesn't match
Not every project requires an agency. If we think you'd be better off with an experienced freelancer, we'll let you know.

“Our platform had grown over the years and had to serve three user groups that have little in common. brightside designed and developed a structure that has made our customers—and even our own team—more productive... and, as a bonus, has eliminated a large portion of the inquiries that previously had to be answered manually.”

The Foundation for Success
How Much Our B2B UX Services Cost
We work in work packages with fixed scope, fixed deadlines, and a fixed price. You know in advance what to budget for.
Projects typically start at €5,000. For projects below that amount, we honestly recommend an experienced freelancer. For smaller budgets, that’s usually the better solution for you.
You pay per work package. Before each package, we work with you to define what will be delivered, by when, and at what price. Of course, you can stop after any package without leaving anything half-finished.
Anything else?
Common questions
Are you going to end up designing something we can't even build?
We talk to your developers early on, clarify technical limitations before the design phase rather than after handoff, and deliver prototypes that your team can review before anything goes into production.
We have a full roadmap. Won't a discovery phase hold us up for months?
We deliberately keep the research phase short and move quickly to the prototype stage. You’ll have something tangible early on that your team can use to continue working and convince stakeholders, rather than going through a long process of gathering insights without any interim results.
Isn't an agency more expensive than a permanent position?
On a daily basis: yes. Over the course of a year, it depends on whether you have enough design work consistently. If not, you’ll be paying for downtime during slow periods and will still face bottlenecks during busy periods because you’re relying on just one person. We charge when there’s work (and work quickly when there is).
We already have designers on our team. So why do we need you?
That's often the case. Most of the time, it involves capacity during a busy period, an outside perspective on a product the team has been working on for years, or expertise in research and testing methods that hasn't been developed internally.
At what project size does it become worthwhile to collaborate?
Projects typically start at €5,000. For projects under that amount, we recommend hiring an experienced freelancer—this usually yields better results on a smaller budget.
Do you also work on existing products, or only on new ones?
Both. A large part of our work involves legacy systems where features have been added over the years, but the structure hasn't kept pace.
Who, specifically, is working on our project?
Exclusively senior UX and UI designers. The same people you’ll speak with during your first interview. We don’t assign junior designers to client projects.
What happens during the free initial consultation?
A 60-minute session with our co-founder Victoria, during which we’ll take a look at your product and your current situation. You’ll walk away with an honest assessment of your biggest UX levers, concrete first steps (even if we don’t end up working together), and an estimate of the scale of your project.
